PPG D839 is a two-component grey primer suitable for a wide range of common repairs.
Characterised by its versatility, fast drying time, and ease of application and sanding, it guarantees high corrosion resistance, good thickness and surface levelling, and gloss retention on various types of substrates. Simply by varying the dilution ratio, Prima D839 can be used as a conventional primer or as a high-build primer. Prima D839 can be air-dried, infrared-dried, or low-temperature dried.
Prima D839 can be directly applied to painted substrates in good condition, bare metal (limited areas), polyester fillers, and suitable adhesion primers. It can be directly overcoated with two-component enamels such as Deltron Progress UHS DG or with Envirobase High Performance basecoats.
