Since 1964, Ferraris Color has been a retailer of paints and equipment from the best international brands, serving the automotive, marine, wood, construction, and industrial markets to offer enthusiasts and professionals the highest quality tools and products for excellent results. Ferraris Color also provides over 50 years of experience in the sector for consultancy on everything related to bodywork and color.
Ferraris, the early years of the paint factory
Around 100 square meters in the very central Via Locatelli in Bergamo for Vittorio Ferraris' first retail outlet. After ten years of commercial experience with manufacturing companies, he decided in 1964 to start an independent business with his wife Natalina. In addition to paints for car bodies and industry, the shelves also featured paints for construction, wood, and fine arts.
Colorificio Ferraris, a family story
Business quickly grew, and within five years, Colorificio Ferraris moved to a new location on Via Noli in Bergamo, doubling its floor space. Soon after, Gianmario and Lorella, the children, also took on the challenge, joining the project, which grew thanks to a series of collaborations with Italian and international companies.
From Colorificio to Galassia Colors and major international brands
In the early 1990s, the Ferraris family further expanded the paint store, adding a new space in the city managed by Gianmario and Rita Mombelli at the Galassia center, dedicated to the bodywork, industrial, and marine divisions, alongside the existing store on via Noli, which remained active in the building and fine arts sector until 2010 thanks to Lorella and Natalina: 950 square meters added to the historic headquarters, designed to offer a broad and differentiated service to the customer. This was Galassia Colors, which marked the beginning of Ferraris' partnership with the world's largest paint producer, the Dutch company Sikkens. A prestigious collaboration that joined the existing one with Dupont, another important industry leader.

Today, Colorificio Ferraris is an official Cromax and Palinal dealer for car body repair, and a Damiani and Palinal dealer for industrial paints. Since 2014, Galassia Colors has distributed products from the world leader in the sector, PPG. In addition to paints, a wide range of brands such as 3M, Saint-Gobain, Mirka, and Henkel expand the service offered to customers with complementary products.
