The increasing spread and popularity of matte finishes requires increasingly efficient repair processes and a perfect match to the original.
PPG offers two clearcoats: D8115 Matt Clearcoat and D8117 Semi-gloss Clearcoat,
which can be used individually or mixed together for a wide range of opacity levels: an extremely flexible solution that allows you to reproduce any original matt finish.
The main advantages of D8115 and D8117:
Blending the matt basecoat only on the affected part of the repair instead of on the entire panel, for an extremely efficient process.
Can be used on rigid plastic: a simple solution for all opacity levels
Easy mop and dust nib removal between coats.
IR drying.
They do not require dedicated hardeners and thinners: they use D8302 and D8329 hardeners and the D87XX range of thinners.
