GELSON CCLEAR Carbon Clearcoat represents the specific professional solution for the protection and aesthetic enhancement of carbon fiber components, from individual parts to entire vehicles. This 2K two-component clear coat has been formulated in GELSON laboratories to enhance the carbon fiber weave while maintaining its visual depth.

The advanced formula combines a high initial curing speed with perfectly calibrated viscosity to ensure optimal flow without sagging. Once cross-linked, the film develops exceptional characteristics of crystalline gloss, superior surface hardness, and prolonged resistance over time. The product is not deteriorated by aggressive chemical agents or prolonged exposure to weathering, maintaining brilliance and transparency even after years.

Integrated UV protection prevents yellowing and degradation of the underlying fiber, a common problem with non-specific clear coats. The film is easily polishable to achieve a show-level mirror finish, appreciated by customizers working on race cars and supercars.

Professional application: compatible with waterborne and solvent-borne basecoats, it is applied within two hours of the basecoat to ensure optimal adhesion. The 2:1 mixing ratio by volume (100g + 50g by weight) has been designed to offer a pot-life of 50 minutes at 20°C, sufficient time for preparation and application without waste.

Painting cycle: HVLP/RP spray gun application with 1.3mm nozzle, ambient temperature 18-22°C, humidity 40-60%. Spray one light coat followed by a full coat with 5-7 minutes of intermediate flash-off. Recommended dry film thickness: 50-60 microns.

Optimized drying times:

• Dust-free: 1-1.5 hours at 20°C / 10 minutes at 60°C
• Sandable: 3.5-4 hours at 20°C / 15 minutes at 60°C
• Full cure: 4 days at 20°C / 15 min at 60°C + 3 days cooling
• Compatible with IR lamp: 8-15 minutes

Recommended complete system: GELSON recommends using the complete system (clear coat + original hardener) to ensure optimal adhesion, drying, and performance. Combining with external hardeners or thinners can compromise the product's characteristics.
