Gelson 456 CARBON CLEAR PUTTY is a transparent, three-component spreadable polyester putty, used for filling fibreglass and carbon fibre products. Transparent colour.
Its main characteristic is its ease of application. The base is an unsaturated polyester resin in styrene.
It is applied with a spatula directly on: Carbon fibre; Fibreglass – composite materials.
Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C.
Mixture preparation: Add 1% by weight of Accelerator for Carbon Clear Putty 456 (Code 10540) to part A. Mix well. Once mixed with the accelerator, part A must be used within one week. The accelerator bottle contains the exact quantity for a 500 ml package. Catalyze at 2% by weight with liquid hardener (code 80223). Mix well again. If you do not intend to use all the product in the package soon, you must take the desired quantity and, using a scale, add the relative doses of accelerator and catalyst according to the instructions.
Minimum sanding time: Air-dried at 20°C 60-90’
Can be overpainted with any type of car body primer and with clear coats for carbon fibre
