R68 is a two-component, low specific gravity, fine-grained polyester putty for car bodies, trucks, industrial vehicles, and boats. It is ideal for repairing small imperfections. The main characteristics of R68 are its ease of application and very easy sanding, even after several days. It has good vertical stability, spreadability, and flow.
The base is an unsaturated polyester resin in styrene. Colour: Beige
R68 is applied with a spatula directly to: Bare sheet metal, thoroughly degreased and sanded; Aluminium, thoroughly degreased and sanded; Old paint, previously sanded with P80; Sanded fibreglass.
Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C.
The colour change indicates correct catalysis (the product changes from green to beige).
MINIMUM SANDING TIME: Air-dried at 20°C: 25 minutes
SANDING: Sequence: P120-P180-P240
OVERCOATING: R68 can be overcoated with any type of primer.
