3M 471 Vinyl Tape is commonly used for marking hazardous areas and lanes, color coding, paint masking, decorative trim, splicing and more. Made with a vinyl backing with rubber adhesive, this versatile tape resists scratches, wear and weather for long-lasting use.
3M 471 Vinyl Tape adheres on contact to a wide variety of surfaces for fast application, with no drips or drying or cleaning required, and is removed cleanly, without leaving sticky residue. The vinyl tape is highly conformable, which makes it easy to apply to curved areas as well as rough or uneven surfaces. Available in many distinctive colors, 3M™ 471 Vinyl Tape can be used in temperatures from 4 to 77°C. Vinyl tapes are used to clearly mark lanes, aisles and hazardous or restricted access areas in factories, warehouses and hospitals. Using vinyl tape for lane marking instead of paint eliminates the need to ventilate solvents, and because vinyl tapes can be removed quickly and cleanly, they are also a faster, more versatile and less expensive alternative to paint.
