3M 9374 is a coarse-grit compound used on freshly applied paints to remove noticeable imperfections such as orange peel.
It is also used on surfaces to be painted that have been previously treated with abrasive papers to rectify and smooth the surface, removing all sanding marks before applying the first coat of paint.
The product can also be used to remove halos caused by incorrect spray painting.
This abrasive compound is extremely functional in the marine industry for gelcoat polishing treatment as a preparatory application for final polishing with very fine abrasive compounds.
