3M protective sealants are ideal for applications on rocker panels, front and rear bodywork. Thanks to their use, it is possible to restore the original appearance of the seals present on some car models, particularly in the joints between overlapping sheets or in the welds of engine compartments, trunks, passenger compartments and wheel arches. Once the two components have been mixed, the product can be sprayed using the 3M 08996 applicator. Alternatively, the 3M 08987 spray kit can be used. Once dry, 3M protective sealants provide a coating with excellent soundproofing properties and excellent protection against rust and chipping. They adhere perfectly to metal, even unpainted, to filler and paint. They can be overpainted and baked at a maximum temperature of 60 °C. To achieve different finishes, they can be diluted with polyurethane solvent up to a maximum of 5% by weight.
