3M polyurethane sealants are single-component products with high sealing capacity that cure on contact with moisture within 24 hours. The extruded product maintains good flexibility even when fully dried. (Curing speed depends on bead thickness and environmental conditions). It withstands temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +90 °C (for short periods up to 120 °C). Ideal for sealing body joints and weld beads, it can also be used on different materials such as wood and plastic. It can be applied directly to unpainted steel and can be used as a weld sealant. Welding must be carried out while the product is still fresh, i.e. within 35 minutes of application. The product must dry for at least 45 minutes before being overpainted with water-based paints.
