3M 80349 paste has been developed to give a high gloss to modern scratch-resistant paints but is also effective on standard paints.
Ideal for use on both original paints and repainted surfaces, to remove sanding marks after rectifying paint defects such as dirt nibs, sags, and orange peel.
Application:
1. Always shake the bottle before use
2. Sand any defects with P1500 grit finishing discs, or with P2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper. If it is necessary to remove dirt nibs, use Finesse-it discs.
3. Refine scratches with appropriately sized 3M Trizact finishing discs. On scratch-resistant paints, longer sanding will be required than on standard paints.
4. Apply the paste using a polisher and the 3M 01927 wool pad. Use a sufficient amount of product and, on repainted parts, do not start the polisher dry.
5. Check for complete removal of marks by cleaning the surface with 3M 08631 glass cleaner.
6. Repeat step 4 if any marks remain on the surface.
7. If all marks have been removed, replace the 3M 01927 pad with the 3M 09550 orange pad and reapply the paste. Begin polishing by applying consistent pressure and then decrease force as the paste begins to dry.
8. Remove any paste residue with a 3M 2010 microfiber cloth.
9. To remove paste splashes on adjacent areas and on plastic or rubber parts, use a damp cloth.

Caution: on large surfaces treated with scratch-resistant paints, it is very important to sand thoroughly with 3M Trizact finishing discs at the end of the sanding phase.
