Always shake the bottle before use.\u003cbr\u003e2. Sand any defects with P1500 grit finishing discs, or with P2000 grit wet sandpaper sheets. If necessary, remove dust nibs using Finesse-it discs.\u003cbr\u003e3. Refine scratches with appropriate size 3M Trizact finishing discs. For scratch-resistant paints, longer sanding will be required than for standard paints.\u003cbr\u003e4. Apply the paste using a polisher and the 3M 01927 wool pad. Use a sufficient amount of product and, on repainted parts, do not start the polisher dry.\u003cbr\u003e5. Check for complete removal of marks by cleaning the surface with 3M 08631 glass cleaner.\u003cbr\u003e6. Repeat step 4 if any marks remain on the surface.\u003cbr\u003e7. If all marks have been removed, replace the 3M 01927 pad with the 3M 09550 orange pad and reapply the paste. Start polishing with consistent pressure and then decrease the force as the paste begins to dry.\u003cbr\u003e8. Remove any paste residue with a 3M 2010 microfiber cloth.\u003cbr\u003e9. To remove paste splatters on adjacent areas and on plastic or rubber parts, use a damp cloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAchieve high performance at every step of the finishing process by using 3M Perfect-it foam pads for abrasive pastes to remove sanding marks and imperfections from painted surfaces.\u003cbr\u003eThe foam of the Quick Connect double-sided pads retains more abrasive paste and reduces splatters on surrounding surfaces. The single-sided Hookit pads offer extended contact with the work surface. They can be used on dry paints of any type, to remove sanding marks of P1200 grit or finer, even on small surfaces. The 3M Perfect-it Quick Connect double-sided foam pads feature a central plate that ensures greater durability. They should be used with our Quick Connect adapter with a 5\/8\" attachment, to quickly attach and center the pads on a wide range of standard rotary polishers.
