Clean the headlight with soap and water\u003cbr\u003e\n 2. Protect the area around the headlight with the included 3M masking tape.\u003cbr\u003e\n 3. With the drill unplugged, insert the backing pad into the chuck.\u003cbr\u003e\n 4. Place the yellow P500 abrasive disc on the backing pad.\u003cbr\u003e\n 5. Applying light pressure, sand the headlight to remove yellowing and surface imperfections. When the disc no longer sands, replace it with a new one.\u003cbr\u003e\n 6. Clean the headlight and check. If yellowing persists, continue sanding with a yellow P500 abrasive disc until completely removed. Once the yellowed layer is removed, the headlight will appear dull white. Then proceed with the next steps. Reducing sanding marks:\u003cbr\u003e\n 7. Remove the yellow P500 abrasive disc. Position and center a white P800 abrasive disc on the backing pad.\u003cbr\u003e\n 8. Applying light pressure, start sanding. Make several passes over the entire surface to reduce marks. Replace the white P800 abrasive disc if it no longer sands.\u003cbr\u003e\n 9. Clean the headlight and check for removal of sanding marks. If deep marks are still visible, continue sanding.\u003cbr\u003e\n 10. Remove the white P800 abrasive disc. Position and center the green\/gray 3M P3000 Trizact abrasive disc.\u003cbr\u003e\n 11. Using a spray bottle, thoroughly wet the headlight surface before starting to sand. Applying light pressure, sand to further reduce sanding marks. Keep the surface moist during the process.\u003cbr\u003e\n 12. During the process, the 3M P3000 Trizact abrasive should produce a white residue. If not, continue sanding.\u003cbr\u003e\n 13. Clean the headlight; if further sanding marks are visible, continue sanding. Headlight polishing.\u003cbr\u003e\n 14. Remove the 3M P3000 Trizact abrasive disc. Position and center the orange polishing foam pad on the backing pad.\u003cbr\u003e\n 15. Apply 3M headlight polish to the orange foam pad. Before operating the drill, spread the polish evenly over the surface of the pad. Do not allow the pad to dry out.\u003cbr\u003e\n 16. Polish the headlight until clarity is restored. If necessary, repeat the operation. If sanding marks are still visible, repeat steps 10 to 16.\u003cbr\u003e\n 17. Remove the 3M masking tape and clean thoroughly using a clean 3M microfiber cloth.
